Sunday 24th August 2025.
Well here we are again! After our sell out first year we are going to be back again for August Bank Holiday 2025. We would first off like to say - we hear you - we made some errors on what was our first foray into the festival scene. Thankfully the feedback we had was all super helpful and enough people had an amazing time for us to go again (with a few critical changes!). With the Abbey as a backdrop, some nationally recognised tribute bands, face painting, glitter and tons of fun had by the vast majority of our guests first time out, we couldnt really ass u the opportunity to go again and get it 100% right this time! We are super excited to anounce BattleFields 2025 is go! Watch this space for more info on tickets, bands and what changes to expect for 2025.
What’s all this about?
Taking place over the August Bank Holiday 2025, the very best tribute bands come to the grounds of Battle Abbey.
We are super excited to secure the ridiculously stunning Battle Abbey to host us again.
Beautiful it is indeed, but, honestly, it’s the only suitable back drop for a stellar line up featuring some Nationally recognised Tribute acts. It really is too much for a Sunday. Even if it is a Bank Holiday.
Opening earlier at midday for 2025, to allow everyone a more leisurely access and picnic set up, the first band will be 2.30pm or so. As it was in 2024 you should be well on the way home by by 11pm, tickets are available from the link below and are available at £3o for adults, £10 for under 14s and free for the under 5s. All tickets are available through Online Ticket Sales (subject to booking fee). Follow us on Instagram for updates on @battlefieldsfestival2025 or on Facebook at Battlefields Festival for updates. See you in August 2025 (or drop us a message using the contact form if you simply cant wait).

ticket info.
Last year we sold out five months early so it might be best to get yours as soon as possible! Adult tickets are available for £30. Kids Under 14 can get in for £10 and under 5 year olds get in free. We have reduced capacity this year to make a bit more space for all the camping chairs and picnic blankets, so it’s probably best to get your tickets now we would have thought. All our tickets are available through onlineticketsales on https://www.onlineticketseller.com/events/91874
Sponsors Partners and Advertisers.
This wouldn’t be possible with a selection of lovely local and regional suppliers, sponsors, advertisers, vendors and services all very close to our hearts. Love you guys! Our Sponsors list will grow as we add them in - we are still securing support! If you’re interested in becoming a sponsor contact us via the form below.
Food & drink.
We listened to the feedback from 2024 and this year we are letting people bring a picnic in so feel free to have at it! That said we will still be running a Battle Abbey School Catering fast food concession for those who get peckish later on, or just forgot their picnic! Coffee Leonati will bring their funky Coffee Cab again for those who need a caffeine hit and we will have Tonibell back to cover our ice cream requirement for us.

FAQs
Sounds good how do I buy a ticket?
Tickets are available via Online Ticket Sales. on https://www.onlineticketseller.com/events/91874 Tickets are £30 for an adult (plus booking fee). Children under 14 are £10 a ticket and under 5s go free. Be warned though we sold out in March last year and we have reduced capacity this year , so when they’re gone, they’re gone.
How can I get to Battle?
We would advise the train which, bar another rail strike, leaves Battle for Hastings at quarter to the hour. You might make the 10.45pm train, but if not you can always catch the 11.45pm (accurate at time of publication but it’s worth checking!) Going up country to Tunbridge Wells your last train leaves at 11.07pm. If you’re coming from further north than Tunbridge Wells best check your train options in advance. Battle station is a 15 minute walk from the Abbey gate, so you should be well in time for the train and home in time for a decent nights sleep. Taxis would also be a good option. We will have some numbers up on the info point at the Festival.
Can I park in Battle?
Short answer yes, though we would advise ditching the car and getting public transport - not just because we are trying to make this a green festival but because parking on a summer Bank Holiday in Battle can be a bit of a nightmare. Limited parking is available in the English Heritage carpark and in the slightly bigger (but not by much) Mount Street.
What time are the doors?
We open at midday, as does the bar, and we are expecting the first band on at 2.30 or so. We will shut at 11pm but the bands will be wrapped up a fair bit before that in all likelihood, probably nearer 10.00pm. Last admission for the event will be 8.00pm.
where do i actually go then?
Come to the big castle-looking gate house at the end of Battle High Street TN33 0AD. You really cant miss it. Some of our friendly hand-picked stewards will be on hand to let you in whilst offering reassuring smiles.
Can i buy tickets on the door?
Based on last year we wouldn’t rely on it. We will announce on this website and our social media channels when we have sold all tickets. Last year there was a brisk trade in after sales online of people selling tickets who could no longer attend but we had reports that some potential buyers were targeted by scammers so be careful!
Can i smoke on site?
The main crowd area is smoke free, same goes for vapes, though we have a dedicated smoking area. You can’t see the stage from this area but it does have commanding views of the Battlefield. It’s almost worth taking up smoking! But seriously don’t take up smoking.
what if my friend has a turn on site?
We will have St. Johns ambulance onsite to offer you restorative tinctures.
Can I bring my own food?
Yes, yes you can.
Can I bring my own drinks?
No - we will be having that on entry. Particularly alcoholic ones. Do feel free to bring a refillable water bottle (empty) which you can fill on site.
Can I bring the kids?
Yes of course! All are welcome but anyone under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
Help I’ve lost the kids!
Our Marshalls and security staff will naturally assist any lost children on site and bring them to the information point for collection. All children under 14 will have the parents contact number written on a wristband on entry by our Marshalls to facilitate a quick reunion. If you have lost your child (ren) please go to the information point where, if they are not there already, we will begin to make our search of the grounds from. We will also make an announcement from the stage as soon as possible.
if i block book a lot of tickets do i get a discount?
Short answer, no.
Can my Carer have a Ticket?
If you have restricted mobility and rely on a carer please contact us via the form below to discuss your requirements.
Can I come and go from the venue?
In line with most of the larger festivals there is no readmission to the venue for ticket holders unless by prior arrangement. Contact us for more information on this.
Does my ticket include access to English Heritage?
No. The Abbey ruins and Battlefield are only accessible via a ticket purchased from English Heritage. The festival ticket will just get you access to the festival site in the School grounds.
What if it absolutely pours down?
We will do everything in our power to make this work. If we have some unseasonable hurricanes we may struggle due to the open nature of the site. If we get wind (no pun intended) of this in advance we will try and refund everyone but a splash of rain, I mean, come on, you can handle that right?
can I bring my dog?
Sadly no, even well behaved pooches will cause us grief from an insurance point of view.
can i pay in cash or by card or both?
For simplicities sake we are publicly decreeing this a card only festival.
can i bring a camping chair?
Yes you may!
What’s can we expect at the bar for 2025?
The bar will be a far simpler affair, you will be able to get all your drinks at one location including Pimms and Prosecco, there will be no token system, and we will have three times the bar staff on. Initial thought is that we will be offering cans only so that these can be issued swiftly and with the minimum of fuss.
Why the earlier opening time for 2025?
We are opening the doors earlier at midday so people can come in and avail themselves of the bar facilities well in advance of the first band at 2.30pm. We hope this will avoid the early bar rush that took us a long time to recover from.
